ES KSSSSMB Praises KNSG's Efforts for the Promotions of Neglected Teachers by the Former Regime
The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai has applauded the state government efforts for taking prompt steps towards implementing the long-overdue promotions of four thousand teachers neglected by the previous administration.
Speaking during an interview with the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Dr. Ado Zakirai stated that the affect staff due for promotions 2021-2023 had sat and passed the mandatory CSC promotional examination but adjustment of salaries and benefits were deliberately ignored by the immediate past administration.
According to him, the Governor's commitment to education and the welfare of teachers has led to a thorough review of the promotions backlog. This effort aims to address the injustices faced by dedicated teachers who have been denied their rightful promotions for long.
In a related development the ES commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commitment to enhancing educational quality through the recent approval for the promotions of 2500 teachers who sat for January, 2025 promotional examination across the state, adding that promotional interview for the successful staff will soon be announced by the board.
The ES noted that this strategic move will continue to attract and retain talented individuals in the teaching profession, ensuring that students receive the highest quality education to further shaping the future of students in secondary schools across the state.
He then acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Kano State Accountant General in supporting the Governor's initiative for the timely disbursement of funds, demonstrating their commitment to efficient financial management and accountability.
